What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to a recruit a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Bank Team, with a competitive pay rate.

 
This is a Bank role for weekend shifts only: 8:00 – 16:00 or 10:00 – 18:00

The role will cover your area of specialism for example, Orthopaedics, Rehab and general surgery. The role will have opportunities to develop clinical and non-clinical specialist skills as well as experience within research, service development and progression into future leadership.

What will your duties include?

  • Be legally and professionally responsible for all aspects of your work including safe and effective management of clinical and non-clinical caseloads.
  • Effectively apply clinical reasoning to assess, progress, adapt and treat patients seeking guidance at appropriate times to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Be able to identify risk within clinical setting including potential safety issues around care and discharge and communicate this effectively with support as appropriate.
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism at all times including high levels of communication -verbal, non-verbal, written, and alternative (use of interpreter as appropriate)- with all stakeholders.
  • Other duties assigned.

  What we need from you?

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
  • At least 12 months post graduate experience as a Specialist Occupational Therapist in an acute hospital setting within the last 3 years.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English essential, additional language skills are desirable.
  • Effective and adaptable communication using a variety of verbal and written techniques to the needs of the patient, family, carer and wider MDT
  • Ability to prioritise, delegate, organise and work effectively to a deadline
  • Experience of discharge planning, referral provision, adaptive equipment provision to support treatment and discharge and the use of appropriate outcome measures.
  • Experience of participation and presenting of in-service training
